Hello everyone,

I have a logologo.png

It's also located at: http://abstractschools.com/images/sampledata/icetheme/logo.png

I am offering 200 credits if I have them, and can send them to you, if I can have the word UNIVERSITY changed to ABSTRACT SCHOOLS

And if you can change the year 1887 to 2011, leaving the font, and colors intact.

If you can do it, please post it here so that I can see if it's good. If it is I will send the credits to you. (Anyone know how I can send credits to other forum members?

-----

Hope you can help, thank you for your time, it was greatly appreciated. If you're a resident of New Jersey, I'll give you 1 full course, free of charge, classes start in January, 2012.

From John Klyne.

As far as I know, there hasn't been a credits system on this forum for at least a year (There wasn't one when I registered, and there isn't one now at least).

Do you happen to have the original .psd file for that logo? It would make it a lot easier to edit if you do. Also, where did you get the logo from?

I bought the template, and it came with the sample data from the installation.

Its sooo much easier to just change existing data then to create the layouts and such from scratch.

I have attached the logo.png file here.

If you can help with the logo, it would be EXTREMELY benefited from.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I just attached it here.
logo.png

That is the original, unless the one that the template uses isn't original?

I'm afraid that without a PSD file for that, it'll be alot simpler to just make a logo from scratch. It might not be the exact same font, but I can do it.

It seems that the bottom word should be "Established" not "Estamblished" as in your logo?

Ok this is what I came up with....
top font is Garamond R85 G85 B85
lower font is Lucida Calligraphy R167 G167 B167
the fonts are not standard as they have been stretched to match the original

new logo.png

The original was 250 x 50
so you can resize this one to the same height but it will be longer 376 x 50 as there are more letters in the name
hope this helps

That is correct, it should be established...didn't even notice that when I bought the template, jeez, you spot things quickly, hehe.

I changed the schools logo. Seems a bit big, you said I can change the size, but I have no idea how to do that, I think it's fine I guess.

Thank you for the help once again, glad I asked for help on the x10 hosting company forum.

Edit: googled how-to for image resizing, thanks for the help!

try changing this line in index.php from:
<div id="logo"><a href="/"><img src="/images/copy of new logo.png" alt="" /></a></div>

to:
<div id="logo"><a href="/"><img src="/images/copy of new logo.png" width="376" height="50" alt="logo" /></a></div>
