I have my Ad Management script in my /ads folder and I want to create subdomain ads.mydomain.x10.mx as I don't want the URL to display mydomain.x10.mx/ads in the browser as what the redirection does. Adding a DNS record does not work also or I might have missed something in the DNS configuration.

Hoping that somebody will enlighten me as I'm just new here in x10hosting.

Thank you.

Hi lylex10h, I did try that "Disable Redirection" the last time to no avail. At present, I already created my subdomain ads.mydomain.x10.mx and it is not redirected to mydomain.x10.mx/ads. My Ad Management script is in my /ads folder.

My /ads folder has no .htaccess file. Do I need to create one to be able to redirect ads.mydomain.x10.mx to mydomain.x10.mx/ads?

Thank you so much for your support and assistance.

I'm really confused based on these 2 statements:
I want to create subdomain ads.mydomain.x10.mx as I don't want the URL to display mydomain.x10.mx/ads in the browser as what the redirection does.
I already created my subdomain ads.mydomain.x10.mx and it is not redirected to mydomain.x10.mx/ads.
Please clarify exactly what you are trying to do using your real domain/URL. Do not use "mydomain".

Hi there, sorry for not using my real domain. Anyway, my domain is http://ilonggogamefowl.x10.mx/

My Ad Management URL is http://ilonggogamefowl.x10.mx/ads/

I would like my Ad Management URL to appear as http://ads.ilonggogamefowl.x10.mx

I attached herein the screenshot image of my subdomains from the cPanel for your reference.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

More power.

cPanel --> Domains box --> Simple DNS Zone Editor --> Domain: ilonggogamefowl.x10.mx --> Add an A Record
Name: ads.ilonggogamefowl.x10.mx
Address: 198.91.81.7
[Add a Record]

That should have been added automatically when the subdomain was created. I can however confirm that it was missing, I have added the records needed for the subdomain.

Though it would not be listed under simple editor, only the advanced editor would actually show records of subdomains created in cPanel.
