Hello. I'm trying to make a mybb forum and the installation process is asking me for information about the database. However, on the database page, I can't find the required information:

Database Server Hostname:
Database Username:
Database Password:
Database Name:
Table Prefix:

Where can I find this?

Hi sourcery,

You will need to create a MySQL database and user in your cPanel. You can then use those details when configuring your MyBB forum. :)

Please see this wiki article for more information. ;)

Thank you,

That wiki article seems to be out of date. I can not find the 'MySQL Database Wizard'.

what the Wiki article did not say - you need to be in the [ cPanel x3 ] theme...
clicking the "Switch Theme" button at the top on the screen (after you log-in) - you can choose between [ x10Hosting Basic ] and [ cPanel x3 ] themes

Hi,

Sorry about that; we have not yet updated that wiki article for our x10Hosting Basic theme. I took a quick look at your account, and it appears you have created a MySQL database, but have not yet created your MySQL user. Please choose "Databases" at the top of cPanel, and click the cog next to your database. Choose "Manage Users".

Please click "Add User to Database" in the top right. From there, you can specify your MySQL user's username and password.

Next, you will be prompted to choose some "privileges" for your newly created user. Please check "Grant All Privileges" and click "Update Privileges".

You can then use "localhost" as your MySQL Host in MyBB, and the username/password you have just created for the credentials. The table prefix can be whatever you choose, such as "mybb_". ;)

Please let me know if you have any further questions. :)

Thank you,
