Database is still down for me

Hi - just checked status update and you've listed as boru as complete but my site is still giving me the error message....

yep after some browsing around - definately an issue for me. any idea what I should do?

I can access the databases fine in phpmyadmin but my joomla isn't finding it...

if you can view them in phpmyadmin but not access them with the site that'd suggest that the Joomla config is wrong. Have you verified that Joomla has localhost set as database host in the configuration file?

yeah I checked the configuration file and it says localhost - all the connection settings are the same prior to the update and it was all working fine before the update.

just tried using different database names in the config file (original was sazari_sazari) tried different possible combinations but now it won't let me upload the file to it's original config

You must use localhost, not the server IP.

Could you post the exact error message (with the error code, not the one displayed on the website)?

getting following message when trying to update configuration.php:

Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (74,63,233,7,183,57)
Command: STOR configuration.php
Response: 553 Can't open that file: Permission denied
Error: Critical file transfer error

You can change the permission from cpanel->file manager
Right click the file and you can see option for setting permission

I was in as admin, and file was ch_mod 777, I uploaded the file to another folder on the server then replaced that way - weird but managed to get back to the original error

weird I solved the problem, some how the password got changed during the upgrade :s

Yes, i use localhost. DB name, username, pass are correct in files too as same.
