Sorry if this has been asked over and over, I searched google for my answer but didnt find any definitive answers. I was planning on upgrading to premium, and I seen the option for a dedicated ip. What is the benefits of this option, And should I opt in for it? -jdsdedicatedservers

Hi johndeer,
One of the main benefits of purchasing a dedicated IP address is that you are able to use an SSL certificate with your hosting account. Due to the way SSL certificates work, you would need a dedicated IP address should you want to secure your website with SSL.
Purchasing a dedicated IP address would also mean that your website would not be "sharing" the same IP address as other sites on the same server.
