My x10 domain is coreyk.x10.mx

I parked the domain verbalizeme.com

When I go to verbalizeme.com

It goes to verbalizeme.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

Even though I have other things uploaded to the root

I have cleared cache and flushed dns.

Howdy.
If you have just recently added that domain please keep in mind that your domain / website may not display properly, (or display at all), for 24 to 48 hours due to the DNS propagation process.
Edit:
Also, I just noticed your remark about uploading to "root". By default your files should be uploaded to the public_html directory. Perhaps that is what you meant by root. If not you may want to make some changes while you are waiting on the propagation.

By root I meant public_html

But I don't understand why I am seeing the default web site page. Clearly if I am getting that page then the domain is pointing to the right server.

Also, regardless of that, if you use the domain coreyk.x10.mx is still goes to coreyk.x10.mx/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

So I don't understand why I am not getting to my wordpress files that I uploaded.

Yes, your domain appears to be pointed to the correct server.

However, you are getting that page because the server hasn't fully updated its host entries on which account the domain is hosted on, so it shows a default website page. This process takes 24-48 hours and should be resolved automatically.

Okay, but there should be no updating needed for the domain coreyk.x10.mx since it is the domain that the account was initially created with. I have never had anything like this happen before. With every other host I've used as soon as the domain is pointing to the correct server I have been able to access the files I have uploaded.

And also if I try to go to coreyk.x10.mx/index.php I receive a 404 error when in fact the file does exist.

Could you ever see the x10.mx site?

This is not every other host. There are thousands of accounts on each server. When a new domain is added, it joins a queue because there are hundreds of such requests every day. If the system stopped to put your domains into the system as soon as you entered them, the servers would grind to a halt.

You are not every other host? That is your answer? Seems a bit arrogant don't you think? So let me get this straight, because you are x10hosting and not every other host then it is okay for your service to not work?

And no, the only thing I ever saw from the x10.mx site was the default web site page.

Sorry if you took iI as arrogant. What I meant is that x10hosting has a different set up from other hosts.

And at least one other free host has a wait between adding a domain/subdomain and it being accessible.

Okay but still, why can't I access the site through its primary domain?

And why is it that I can navigate to cpanel with out any problem through both the primary and the parked domain?

For cpanel, which responds to a different port, the system doesn't need to know what account the domain belongs to, it's enough that the domain points to the right IP. Which is why you can login to your account both on verbalizeme.com:2082, coreyk.x10.mx:2082 and boru.x10hosting.com:2082, they all essentially shows the same content.

While to get to your specific domain, the system needs to have information about its internal path, which would be: /home/cpaneluser/public_html, so those entries needs to be updated into the configuration file, for each change made to any accounts regarding domains (applies to both main, parked, addon and subdomains). It is this part that sometimes can be a little delayed even after the domain it self has propagated to the right IP.

However, when it comes to your server, Boru, it actually had a server side problem that prevented new domains from working (they were never really added to configuration) which has now been sorted.
