why have you denied south africans the priviledge of registering on your website? please explain thanks and regards.

Hi,

South Africa (and many, many other countries) have been blocked from registering due to extremely high levels of abuse.

In order to keep this service free, and also functioning well for all our users, we have chosen to only whitelist certain countries from which abuse levels are low.

Unforunately, at this time there is no way to bypass this restriction. However, we do revisit the whitelist from time to time, so it's possible that South Africa will be added at some point.

As Neil mentioned, we receive a very high volume of abusive users from countries throughout the world. We have to take measures to protect our network from the abuse that some individuals bring to our service, and one of the most effective ways to handle this was to implement a specific list of countries that we do not receive so much abuse sourced from.
