Hi I have followed your indtructions to point my domain via dns to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com. I also added my domain relaxphuket.com as an addon domain to a path of public_html/wp. I get a 404 error when I try to go to the domain in a browser. Am I doing something incorrectly?

I can navigate to your site fine. Please see this wiki article if you are still experiencing issues.
I have also noticed that your WordPress configuration is still set to your old domain name. You may want to change this so it uses your .COM instead of your .X10.MX

I did what you said and changed the domain name in my site but now the site is not coming up in the correct format and I cannot access the Admin console :-(
I thought this would be so easy.
I would appreciate your help.

From here it appears your Web URL is set to http://relaxphuket.com/wp instead of http://relaxphuket.com/
