Hello, all! I had this working for a while, however now my site, ohioiproject.co.uk, won't come up. Opera, Chrome and FF says it's a DNS issue. Because I use NameCheap, I had to use the IP's for the nameservers. I have the NS set for my site on my profile and it works just fine. So what is going on? Please help if you can!

Hi,

Please could you try setting the nameservers ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com? Namecheap have an article on this here: https://www.namecheap.com/support/k...ow-can-i-change-the-nameservers-for-my-domain

You'll need to use "Custom" nameservers. ;)

Thank you,

Dead-i,

Thank you for the information, however it won't work for me.

I currently have my email through Zoho and they require me to setup my account so I am using the Basic DNS service and MX redirection services through Namecheap. I will require the IP address for those names, and as a post has said before the addresses are as follows:
  • NS1: 173.236.27.195
  • NS2: 99.198.122.2
I have those set under the "custom DNS" settings for my Namecheap CP, however it's it and miss if they work. Is there something wrong with the DNS service on your (company's) end that disables users from using the IP's?

Hi Joseph,

I'm not so sure where you found those IP addresses; they do not belong to x10Hosting. I took a look at your account, and it looks like you have already got the domain name added. Therefore, you will need to either:
  • Change your nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com, and then log in to cPanel x3. You can then set your Zoho MX entries there.
  • Alternatively, create a new A Record for "198.91.81.7", which is the IP address of the server your account is currently on. Please be aware that this wouldn't persist if your account moved server for some reason.

Thank you,
