Wow, the poll still isn't broken, 100% learning or know, that's very surprising to me. I'm glad a lot of people are learning French... :D

Well,
I never got anything out of Spanish class in elementary school.
middle school french classes didn't help at all.
I know English. thank god.
I speak Cantonese at home with my family.
I took a class of Mandarin last year; which is similar to Cantonese just different pronunciation
I am teaching myself Korean right now.

I speak Albanian and English fluently.

I learned Spanish for 6 years in school.
i learned some macedonian, from 2 1/2 months vacations every summer...

I want to learn/will pursue the latin language and writing.
I have interests in learning Arabic, the writing looks really nice...
I have interests in learning to speak German, and italian.
I have interests in learning jamaican.
I have interests in learning the poorest countries language, whichever country that may be.

I have many interests...but if you asked what languages do your parents know and speak fluently...

My father and mother, together, speak Russian, Macedonian, Albanian, Czechoslovakian, German, french, Italian and English...they are in my opinion, tooo dam linguistic. But then, how can you live in all these countries for vast periods of your life, without learning the language, and speaking it fluently.

Is that why most of your posts are so shortly worded?

I don't know another language. I am planning to learn Spanish, but I am not currently in the process of doing so.
Thank you for breaking the 100% poll :)

I would love to know that many languages. I bet your parents are very smart. I was reading an article earlier about people who know at least 3 languages do up to 30% better on any given standardized test.

I can speak and write in German. I am Montana USA born and have been here all my life. I will say to anyone who is learning, that if you stop practicing the language you will forget. I have not used German since I was in college (12years) and I can't remember an 1/8 of what I used to.

:dunno:

My main language is English. I can understand Spanish 100% but do not speak it, I don't understand why I get stuck on it when I speak it but if you talk to me in Spanish I will have no problem understanding you. I also want to learn Japanese, but I am not sure about that one yet.
