Our WIX domain (maurincuisine.com) is not transferring even though we have tried everything in the forums.

joshdavidson.x10host.com

At Wix, we changed A record to the x10host IP for our site: 198.91.81.7

Removed C records

NOTHING works (because Wix does not let you change the nameserver)

Any idea??

Have you contacted WIX's customer support in regards to this? If so and not being able to change the nameservers is the cause then you may have to transfer the domain to a different registrar and hope that one allows such changes.
I'm not sure if there's any other options so I would wait and see what the others think.

This is a catch-22 situation.

This is a situation where one thing must happen in order to cause another thing to happen - but because the first thing does not happen the second thing cannot happen

x10hosting requires - as most hosts do - that you have the name servers set to x10hosting's [ ns1.x10hosting.com ] and [ ns2.x10hosting.com ] before allowing you to add a domain to your account. This ensures that you actually own the domain and prevents some types of fraud from occurring - for example you would not be able to add [ Google.com ] to your account with x10hosting because you do not have access to change the name servers on that domain. Because you can not add the domain with x10hosting - you can not change the name servers - because you can not change the name servers you can not add the domain with x10hosting...

Admins will need to add the DNS zone for you - if they will do it

Exactly. I tried to access whm and dns zone - obviously not possible with my free account. Do you know how I would make a request to admins? I can't find that info.

Hello, thank you so much! However, in light of the complexity, we decided just to pay with a new registrar and we JUST transferred it to 1&1 (from which we can properly do the nameserver update). I'm sorry! I didn't know you'd be able to help! Is it possible to remove any wix nameservers from the dns zone? thank you so much!!

Hi Josh,

That's absolutely fine. Since your domain has been transferred to 1&1, there shouldn't be any need to adjust the configuration of the domain on our side. After you set our nameservers at 1&1, your website should work fine. :)

Thank you,
