good morning,

i have two questions about your domain management system. I registered my website by your service, choosing for the ".co.cc" option. So, my current domain is now "spaghetticode.co.cc". I would like if is it possible to connect to my homepage using the direct ip of my website, and i would like to know what I have to do if I want to add another domain on my website.

Hope my explanation is clear enough. Thank you so much for the awesome service.

Goodbye

Luca

Don`t understand your first question.

You can add upto 3 domain extra domain in your free account.

to add go to your cpanel and then click on addon domains.

by my understanding,
you cannot access your website by ip address directly, because your domain is a subdomain, which does not have its own IP address. if you were to do a IP lookup on "spaghetticode.co.cc" and then do a reverse DNS, it would return as stoli.x10hosting.com.

Yep. Thank you very much.
In fact, I was looking for a method to apply my addresses (which I often will have to share over the net) to a more "consistent" domain service than co.cc. Maybe it's only an fake impression, but i don't like at all the renewal system they apply. So i tought: "maybe there is a way to obtain my original x10hosting domain name, which will never be deleted". It would be pretty cool, too, but at least i think I can do without.

Thank you anyway for the precious explanations and for your time spent replying my newbie questions :)

Have a nice day,
Luca

you can have a *.x10hosting.com subdomain with a co.cc. the x10hosting subdomain will never expire as long as your account remains active and is not terminated.

You can change your main domain in your account panel, there you can chose to create a sub domain to one of the domains x10Hosting offers, x10hosting.com, elementfx.com, pcriot.com or exofire.net

You can then place your co.cc domain as a parked domain, which essentially works the same, if you wish to have that one still working.

You can not connect by IP as explained, but it should always be possible to reach your site using servername.x10hosting.com/~cpanelname if the domain fails (not recommended as a public hand out though).

I currently use that technique: my main domain is an x10 subdomain and my real website is a co.cc domain. However, keep in mind that things such as FTP users use the main domain, not parked domains.

Thank you guys for all the help. I easily configured my domain as .x10hosting.com on the main panel, and parked the co.cc one. It all seems to work properly.

You are cool :D

Bye,
Luca
