My account was suspended yesterday for inactivity, I undid the suspension, checked the forum out and yet the account was suspended again today for the same reason - I obviously didn't keep it open long enough. Can I just long on, wander elsewhere on the internet, come back and log off or do I have to make a post on here?

Posting is not required.

However it is recommended that you login to the forums prior to requesting unsuspension, to avoid being seen as inactive if the script that checks is run before you login to the forums.

Going to close this, but as LadyAnna said, make sure you log into the forums BEFORE unsuspending yourself. It's possible after you unsuspended yourself a suspension was inserted into the queue then carried out later even though you logged into the forums in between.
