I sent an email to a potential client, my email never went through and was returned to me as spam. Since I got this account, I only sent a few emails from my account. I have a business to run and I can not afford to have my emails not go through. I could have lost a client here. This is the email that I received, please fix this ASAP!

The basic fact is that people sign up for free accounts and then abuse them.

So x10hosting gets on blacklists that don't understand or care (or want to take the time to investigate ) that foo.x10hosting.com is different and separate from bar.x10hosting.com (or that foo.com hosted on stoli.x10hosting is different from bar.com hosted on stoli.x10hosting).

As mentioned above, it probably best to use a third party mail system if emails are critical.

Hello, you could also try contacting comcast as it seems they're the ones that are blocking it.

I have contacted Comcast, they have replied, stating that the IP address has been taken off the block, but the email admit should be aware of the situation. I hope someone at x10hosting will take care of this.

Thank you for contacting Comcast Customer Security Assurance. We have received and reviewed your RBL removal request.

Below each IP address you submitted in your request, we have included the result of our research. Please do not reply to this message.

173.236.28.162

The IP you previously provided has been removed from the Comcast.net blocklist.

Our filters have determined that email from the IP you submitted was blocked because it sent email to the Comcast domain with patterns characteristics of spam. Mail servers are typically shared by many users so it may be the case that another party using your mail server has sent spam, even if you have not. It is important that your email administrator is aware of their outbound spam problem to avoid being blocked by Comcast in the future. When contacting your email administrator, you should include the error message contained in the email which alerted you to this problem. Taking this step now will help avoid blocks in the future.

If you have a different IP addresses which you would like considered for removal from the Comcast blocklist, please submit your request to http://www.comcastsupport.com/rbl

Sincerely,
Comcast Customer Security Assurance

This is very true. People just don't care about anyone else who uses the server.

This is why we added a unique outgoing server with a powerful filter.
