Error 500

I'm getting error 500 continually when I try installing a portal mod on my forums. I did a search and checked my .htaccess file. All file permissions are set 755/644... so I am at a loss as to why am having this issue.

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

I could see a few folders set as 777... if any of those folders contain files directly accessed by the browser it will cause a problem.

No folders should need to have that, from experience having the cache folder to 755 works just fine, please try to set ALL folder permissions to 755 (expect the public_html folder itself).

Hmm ok I see them too. I swear I changed all folders to 755 not two days ago. Resetting them again.
