503 error does translate to Service Unavailable, so it could be the server just isn't ready to serve the sites yet.
We expect a full recovery of the service, x14 is unfortunately still not fully done (x12 is also being worked on).
It is possible that a simple html file will load, as those does not need any specific handling by the server to display, in case you feel like putting up a notice to your viewers.
