Resolved Error 521 and SMTP problems.

Hi,

I have been getting the 524 Error due to servers new address. After updating the A record on cloudflare my website started working, however every now and then i get the 521 Error. Please advise on how to fix this issue.

Also my SMTP email has stopped working. Do i need to update the cloudflare MX record as well?Or is it related to some other issue?

Depends on what you currently have there. If it is anything that relates to the old server you would need to update that as well.

Are you getting any errors? Since you talk about SMTP email I'll assume you try to send from your email account using a locally installed email client as that is the scenario where SMTP would actually be used. Are you able to send using webmail (under email accounts, if you click the plus sign you get the option to sign in to webmail)?

I would love to fix the Error 521 first if possible. please see the attached screenshots of the error and its explanation from cloudflare website.







It seems like for some reason the server does not respond...Last picture attached is the cloudflare DNS servers settings. Perhaps I have made a mess there? :\

The 521 issue is related to the information in this thread: https://x10hosting.com/community/th...oudflare-5-errors-site-loading-errors.207926/ and is being worked on.

You will need to change the MX record to reflect that you are now on a different server, namely: x13.x10hosting.com
