Hi, my name is Ryan. I am having an issue accessing my web page. When I try to access it, it asks for my database information, and when I put it in, an error message comes up saying "Error establishing a database connection." I have no idea what is causing this problem. I know for a fact that I am putting in my database information correctly, my internet connection is working fine, and I don't think that the database server is down. I have tried editing the database name, username, and password information in my config-wp-sample-php file, checking my database for issues, repairing my database, and even deleting the database and creating a new one. None of these things worked. I made sure that the information in my config-wp-sample-php-file and database tab on my hosting account match the information that I am entering. If anyone knows what may be causing this issue and how to fix it, please respond to my post. Thank you.

Hi Ryan,

It looks like there are some problems with the database information you are using. Please make sure you are using localhost as the database host (and not xo4.x10hosting.com). Additionally, please make sure you are using the correct database name, username and password, as created from the "Databases" section of cPanel. ;)

Thank you,

You were right! It recognized localhost as the database host instead of x04.x10hosting.com as the database host. Making this simple change got my site up and running again. Thank you very much.
