Everyone is on PHP level 2. Sorry, but for right now, you cannot change your php level.

Plus, exec(); shouldn't even really be needed.

Why not just use the embedded code from YouTube to do this. It would be really easy to maintain a gallery. Especially if you used some simple php and made an SQL database to hold all the view keys. Then you could call them from a loop until you ran out of keys to display in the embedded code.

Hi Sir,
Thank You for the reply.
I am a low level website maker.I know how to install joomla, setup database using cpanel and then installing components like jvideodirect to get videos.
I bought jvideodirect and when i tried installing that,it required exec() to work. Thus I requested you this. You gave me a good suggestion about how to do it.But as I am a mechanical engg undergraduate ,I have to learn php coding language before I implement my site.
Sir,please allow me an exec() something.I donot really know why it is needed for jvideodirect and their forums lifted hands saying exec() is needed.
Can this exec() create any harm to me or anyone sir?
Please enlighten me and if it is ok please allow me an exec() sir.
thank you
My sincere regards.

exec() is a security risk and is not currently allowed on free servers. PHP level 3 simply is not being implemented and even when it was on the free servers, it was not given out unless the user had an extremely good reason. Even if the staff members thought you deserved to be on PHP V3, they could not put you on it.

My recommendation to you would be to speak with the creator of your plugin and request information on how to disable or bypass the features requiring exec(), choosing a different plugin, or upgrading to a paid hosting package where exec() is allowed.
