Hi,

I'm trying to access the x10' MySQL Database from an external webserver.
I inserted the IP of my webserver into the CPANEL-Module.
But when trying to access the MySQL from that external webserver, it returns a Connection Timeout.

Do I have to tell PHP to connect onto an other Port than 3306?
Do I have to do smt else?

Regards

The MySQL servers for Free Hosting accounts cannot be accessed from an external server. Period. No exceptions.

Aaah :)
Thanks, didn't know that - just thought they would be since cpanel has that option :)

yeah, cpanel have that option, not sure we can remove it.

Either way it is actually needed for internal use, since cpanel and mysql is not on the same physical server, if it wasn't there with proper entries, your website would literally be denied access to the mysql server.
