it's good to have it for customization purposes, but it should also be visible enough to stand out... like a single letter of the alphabet or a familiar image

Without favicon, the URL looks boring... But what is over pixelated or something??? what do mean by that? I'm still a noob,..

Hello people,

Yeah of course I prefer to use a favicon for my sites! They jazz up the address bar, tabs and bookmark images, just making things look a little prettier. I agree with whoever said above that they make it easier to find the right tabs too, there's another reason to use one.

Mine is only simple but it'll do, it stands out enough for now =]

Yes.

It gives a website that little kick. It simply makes it look better. In the past, I have gotten better results when my site featured a favicon.

Hey,

Animated favicons get bonus points.

Lol if they're over-animated they just annoy me. I don't like to be distracted from the actual page itself, but I suppose a little animation doesn't hurt =P

I leave any site with animated icons cause they just bug the poop out of me.
I just have to see what comes next and eventually, I become obsessed over the icon.

ANIMATION = EVIL
