File Linking?

Hi,
Actually I was wondering if file linking is allowed?
Say if I make download button & link it to a direct link made available by another website.
And what is your policy in this case as long as it is not actually hosted on your server?

You mean a link that allows someone to download a file hosted on another server?

IF:

a. The owner of the other site gives permission
b. The owner of the other site has the right to offer the file for download
b. The file in question does not violate x10's TOS (ie, no warez, etc )

there should be no problem.

Ok I understand but in order to get all my doubts clear just another question that if someone dont link to the file, just the page(no pron), I think that is allowed by everyhost!
What you guys have to say about this?

this part of the tos might be of interest:

Warez: Includes pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing, etc... This also includes any sites which provide "links to" or "how to" information about such material.

If you link to sites that distribute warez or other illegal material, you still risk being suspended as we do not allow that either.
