file manager not working

I have been using the my free hosting account for about a month now, it was running super smooth and I was very happy with it, but for the past few days the file manager hasn't been working. When I try using the file manager I get the message "Data Error" if I try using the Legacy File manager the error show is: [a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive], and if I try accessing with an online ftp such as net2ftp all I get is an empty folder, which I know is not empty because I can see the files I have uploaded with the browser. So there must be something wrong with the FTP access.
