finding TOS violations at X10Hosting

I notice that you are very good in catching people with unlicensed scripts or other TOS viloations. I am curious how you are able to spot them.

Do you look at each members account and files manually? Or do you have some automated system that does it for you?

Can you please let me know how you do it? I am most curious and grateful for your help.

There are a variety of ways x10Hosting may monitor sites:

- Staff might individually monitor sites to check they comply with the TOS.
- If a member reports that a site on x10Hosting's servers do not follow the TOS, staff will investigate.
- If a member posts on the forums and their site breaks the TOS, then a staff member will suspend them.

There is also an automated scan in place to handle the most common ToS-violating files (known proxies, "warez" editions of commercial software, RapidLeech, TorrentFlux, and so forth). That's why you'll see postings here saying "I was in the middle of uploading my site, and BOOM!". (By the way, the fact that these files are so quickly and easily caught also demonstrates a distinct lack of know-how, imagination and foresight on the part of the would-be cheaters. Not that I'm encouraging better cheating -- if they had a clue, they'd probably be able to put together something legitimate that meets their financial or social needs better than what they were trying to do in the first place.)
