Firefox-Google https problems

Hello,
Using Firefox 27, I tried to log in at x10hosting.com and got this:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to x10hosting.com. The OCSP response is not yet valid (contains a date in the future). (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_future_response)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.

No way to toggle off the https in Firefox, so I had to use the Seamonkey browser (rebranded older Firefox) that come with my Linux.
Seems likely I'm not the only one having this login problem.
Is there a cure or a workaround that doesn't involve firing up a different browser?

Make sure your time/date is synced with the internet. This isn't an issue with our cert or server, but with your computer.

Were that the case, why would it matter which browser I used?
BUT... I checked the date/time gizmo anyway. It said 'Automatic Sync', so that likely wasn't the problem.

I'm telling you that your time is off. Are you dual booting linux/windows? There are known issues with syncing times between OS's.

Yup. Dual boot WinXP and Puppy Linux.
My XP is NOT allowed to contact the net in any way, so all browsing is done via Linux.
So... why would Seamonkey browser let me log in if the system time sync were really an issue?
My last Firefox version didn't balk about logins. Tried it with my IBM T43, same Linux, still running Firefox 25. No problem.
This appears to be a new problem with FF27. Thought I should mention it here first.

Explains everything. Old browsers don't have the updated specs on how to do trust certificate handshakes.

It's your system date/time.

Uh, huh. In this case, 'Updated' apparently means 'make it not work'.
I lack patience for such things. Time spent trying to make balky programs work is time wasted.
Since the system time was already sync'ed and I'd rather not dump FF27 to reinstall an earlier version, what all this means to me is that I'll use Seamonkey when I see that error message.

I have FF27 (Windowz) and it works fine to log in at x10hosting.com

Unless I change my system time to say Feb 27th. Then I get the error you describe.

Did you actually check the date/time in Linux, yes or no?

Yup, checked it. Sun, 2nd Feb, checked the time against http://www.time.gov/ .
I'll mess with this tomorrow. Stuff to do tonight.

works to log-in to cPanel - unless I reset the system time back to 02/27/2014

Edit: Annnnddd... just tried x10hosting.com and it worked, so something's apparently okay that wasn't.
