firefox vs. ie (not really much competition)

I have to agree with the title of the thread. How can one really compare the two? Up until the release of version 7 of IE, it had very little to offer compared to Firefox.

One way that Microsoft could get a leg up is to make a decent, download manager to integrated into the program. The tabbed browsing added a little, but it still has a long way to go.

Microsoft copied off Firefox, and all the other popular browsers. Microsoft copies off of everything better than them.

That kind of reminds me on how they were able to instantly kill Netscape. Got some info and ideas from it, put them into IE, and then integrate it into Windows 95.
