I recently installed phpBB 3.1.6 and the upgrade killed the forum altogether and was having everyone sign up again and a problem came up. It seems if you add a URL in the UCP panel section profile under website and click submit you get this:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /ucp.php on this server.

Any other part like Facebook, occupation, etc. it does not have a problem. Only when trying to add your website to your profile. I can add it to someone's profile in the ACP but they cannot add it themselves because of this. I couldn't even add it to my profile in the UCP and I am founder of the board.

Most places I have looked into this problem on have mentioned mod_security. Is there any way that could be it, and if so can it be fixed?

Okay now I am getting this as well so I can't even post now. And no I am not even posting one URL this time.

You don't have permission to access /gaming/posting.php on this server.

If it is mod_security it is totally crippling my site and I am going to have to move as this is ridiculous.

Hi necrowol,

Yes, we use mod_security on our free hosting servers, to help protect our free hosting customers from common web attacks and spam bots. It looks like the content of the post you are trying to create uses language that is commonly used in advertisements. The request is being denied by mod_security, since it is being recognised as being advertising spam.

Thank you,

Yes, the word causing problems was "cigarette". I was posting about the electronic ones but just that one word would keep it from posting. But the URL thing works in posts but not when adding one to your profile so that I don't understand.
