I'm looking for a free host that is good and that would allow Swedish websites, I'm doing this search for a friend of mine that has a small company.

Before paying for a host he'd like to see if there would be any good use for a site, well its advertise for his company, but the company would not be suitable as an online store due to the products, there's no guarantee that what is in today is still there tomorrow (he's selling used books, comics, vinyl records and a bit of collectors items mainly from the 50's).

I'm signed up here for a alliance/clan forum for travian browser game. I found this to be a very nice host, and if it was allowed to use swedish I'd instantly recommend it to a friend in need of a host. But since it's not that's not possible (he has absolutely no need in an English page as of now)

I've tried a few found through searches, but so far none turned out to be really good... the last one of them worst :/

Do any of you know a good host that would be suitable? Ad-free or just a small ad required would be best.
PHP and mySQL is preferred, but with the currently it's not needed, but PHP might be useful still.

You can have a website in any language, as long as it has, basically, a copy translated into English, French of Spanish. ( As per the TOS of x10 )

We are not allowed to discuss other hosting outlets.

As I mentioned, you are allowed to have a website in any language, but because our staff ( some ) only speak / write in English, French and Spanish - we require the websites to have a way to be able to translate into one of those languages.

so basically if all pages have a small link to an English version of the page it is allowed?

The only reason to translate would then be so you can read it, it holds no other purpose. I'll have to think about that, since I have a feeling I'll be the one doing the translation in that case.

Could of course be a rather interesting thing, might lead to customers that are outside of our country. Dunno if he's ready for that yet.

I do understand that you don't want to allow discussions of other hosting services, they are your competitors. :)

Yes, I believe a link would be fine to have.
Basically, like I mentioned, we would just need to be able to check to see if anything is on the site that is in violation of our Terms of Service.

But, I have to agree with you, having a translated version may help with your friend's business.

If you have further questions, don't be afraid to ask. :)

hmm isnt posseble to put a link to a translator instead of rewriting the hole webpage (like babelfish :) ) if that works is it easyer for me if i start typing in dutch (main) otherwhise if i goin start typing in dutch then i need to do it 2 times before it is allowed

this is just a opitunion to give a idea that maybe will work (but i still dont know how to add it that it instand translate your website :( )
