IBM has made their DB2 Express-C free (for anyone) and supports servers with up to 2 single core processors or 2 dual core processors and 4GB of memory (free license is by the processor, not by the core!).

I'd be lying if I said I'd never seen serious IT pros playing this in the office. Seriously good fun watching 30-50 yr. old men blast each other online in mutliplayer games! Even more fun watching them crash the Live Cd when the boss walks by. :lol:
