FTP details for subdomain

What username do you use for subdomain ftp.

If I have current username for domain as peter@xyz.com is it then peter@subdomain.xyz.com? Or something else? I use Dreamweaver and I have found the "@xyz.com" is necessary but not so on Filezilla.

The username will be exactly as noted in your FTP management, with the password you set for it.
