Hi - am setting up a website for school use. Was able to FTP an index file - was able to go to domain name and see the file this weekend. Today I get a redirecting message and it takes me to the X10 login screen - anyone know why? Very puzzling.

Here is the Site:
kellytechweb.x10host.com

I see that some servers are having issues - is that the problem here? A student was able to create a site and upload this morning with no problem - I can access his site but not my own?

Currently I see...
Ms. Kelly

My website to be used for posting assignments
Try clearing your browser cache and history and maybe flushing your DNS.
Other than that, it might just take time for the DNS to propagate to your part of the Web.

odd - why can't I simply type in the URL and be directed to the site - what is with the redirecting? There is no problem listed as far are servers being offline - I was really hoping to be able to use this site for my classes to set up their own accounts. Does not seem to be working well right now. Disappointed.
Even in your post from above - if I right click - open in new tab - it still redirects me to a login page with X10 Host. I understand you are not a company rep but just trying to help. Thank you. I have to say that my high hopes are dashed though.

I have another question though - recommendation is to clear history and cache for the browser - but I do not want to clear out all the passwords, logins etc that have been saved - does this happen?

Hi kellytec,

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Yesterday, an issue with one of our two nameservers was identified, where this nameserver was incorrectly sending a few domains to the "Redirecting" page. This meant that some visitors were being sent to the right place, while others would be mistakenly redirected to our homepage.

This was resolved, and I am no longer seeing any DNS resolution issues on your domain name. If you are still seeing the "Redirecting" page, it is possible that the erroneous A record has been cached. If this is the case, you will need to either wait, or flush your DNS and clear your cache. Please see this wiki article for more information.

but I do not want to clear out all the passwords, logins etc that have been saved - does this happen?
Most web browsers, including Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, give you the choice of what specifically you would like to delete. :)

Thank you,
