Okay, so I want to use a domain name I've purchased for 2 things,
1) To be hosted here for a blog
2) To use google apps' mail service to get gmail using the domain.
I'm using godaddy as my registrar, and first time round I did the following.
Changed my account settings on x10hosting.com to point to the new domain xxxxxx.com
Goto godaddy.com, manage domains, and click on manage nameserver.
From here I clicked on "I have a hosting account with these domains". Undernath it says:
If you are hosting your Web site with some other company (you have a hosting account at another provider that is associated with this domain), then enter your provider’s nameservers (you must enter at least two nameservers).
But I don't see anywhere to put them on that page. I carry on and click okay, let it update, hen go into totaldns. Here I add the x10hosting nameservers, but they are now entry 3 and 4 alongside the original godaddy nameservers.
Is this okay? I'm completely new to domain name management so I'm a bit lost. Going to the website address yields nothing, but a whois check says that there are no nameservers registered at the moment anyway, so I'm assuming that's because it hasn't propagated yet.
Thanks for reading this long winded post, hopefully someone can tell me if I'm doing this right!
