I just uploaded my website to X10 Hosting a couple of days ago. I redirected my domain name to X10. My site looked fine. Today I went to it and half of my images are no longer showing - even my Paypal Shopping Cart logo. Could someone please take a look at it and tell me what to do? Thank you!

My browser (Firefox) is saying that it cannot display the images "because they contain errors". ie, x10hosting is sending the images, but they are somehow corrupted. Not in delivery, but in your account files.

One cause could be uploading them to x10 via FTP in text mode instead of binary.

Try uploading the broken images again, making sure you use binary mode if you use FTP

I use LeapFTP and upload using the Auto mode. I just reloaded everything using the Binary mode and now there are more photos not showing up and even my background image is gone. I previously had my website on Hostmonster and always used either LeapFTP or SeaMonkey to upload and my site was fine.

I just did take a quick look at the source of your page, and the problem appears to be the image path in your coding, this is one example of code found:
Code:
src="file:///F:/cracked/0866.small.jpg"

You'll need to go through your coding and make sure the path to your images actually references their location in your account.

Also when I do check the files on your account, all your images comes back as being stored as "text/x-generic", so there's indeed something that has gone wrong when you uploaded of those images, or they could be corrupted on your computer already, and be tagged with the wrong file type.

cPanel lists jpg files that way all the time.

LeapFTP lists the image types as JPEG Image. Most of my photos are opening in my photo editor as being fine, though I have found a few that are corrupted. Those I just took recently. Can a photo become corrupted when being uploaded through an FTP? They were fine a few days ago when I uploaded them to my Hostmonster site. I'm afraid now to upload any of my backup photos now. I can back them up again, I suppose, but there are hundreds. I'll go through the photos and check to see if the path is correct - but they were all showing up a few days ago so I don't see how the path could have changed.

If anyone has any other ideas, please send along. Thanks for your help!

I just uploaded all of my photos again and it's much better this time. I guess it was just a bad upload the first time. I still have a problem with some of the photos - will have to work on it.

Thank you for your help.
