ok. so you want your godaddy domain to be your primary?

if so:

go to: http://www.x10hosting.com/login

login with your forum details, and scroll down a little.

under your account settings, change your domain to the .(tld) and click

"update my settings" or somthing like that.

then you have to set your name servers. i have no clue how to do this on godaddy, but the name servers are (in order):

ns2.x10hosting.com
ns1.x10hosting.com

-----------------------

then just wait for godaddy's DNS to update and you have your domain :D

1. Go to manage domains under your account at godaddy
2. There click on your domain, or check the box next to the domain name you want to configure
3. That will highlight and enable a few options at the top.
4. Click the nameserver option.
5. Check the custom namesever option from the available ones.
6. You will see some nameserver settings by default. Change that to
NS1.X10HOSTING.COM
NS2.X10HOSTING.COM
7. Come back to your Cpanel at x10.
8. Add it as a sub domain (not parked)
9. That it, done.

Give some time for everything to setup. Or if you are in a hurry, flush your dns and open your website.

If you are lucky enough, you should see your website showing the cgi-bin folder. :)

Hope this helps

Well thats how I have been doing. I have added 8 sub-domains like this.

It did never worked for me when I tried using parked domain thing, It turns out to be like two domains pointing to public_html

With subdomain you get to point it to a specific folder.

Though you will also get an additional domain eg.

www.mysite1.com
www.mysite2.com (addon domain)
www.mysite2.mysite1.com (this is which is created by default)

Thats by my experience.

isnt the point for them both to be pointed at your Public_HTML?

i mean, unless you were buying a domain for like, your forums, but.. idk. it doesnt really matter.

Yeah, sorry I didn't reply early. Actually I didn't find what leafypiggy was talking about immediately on the x10 site after I logged in, but I knew I needed the name servers. So I entered the one he/she provided in his/her first post and it worked perfectly.

Then after I logged in I see exactly what he/she was talking about. Thanks for the help. Here is the result: http://www.larrymasonjr.com.
