Dear X10Hosting,

im kind of a web newb, but im trying to connect my Mysql database to a PHP site (holoCMS)
i have all the required files in my root and created a SQL named caspicas_holodb, and imported *.sql,
with PHPmyAdmin. I got a tutorial were it says to fil out the install.php form (http://caspicassohotel.x10.bz/install.php), i tried and i tried, but it keeps saying "Unable to connect to MySQL server. Please double-check the hostname, username, and password you have provided."

this is the form, can u tell me what i should put in?,
or where i can find these inputs :

Database Name
User Name (Your MySQL username usually 'root').
Password (The password linked to the MySQL Username)
Database Host
Site Path

When you create the database in cPanel you have to create a database user and attach it to the database. Did you do that?

Do it now by logging in to your control panel and then mysql database. And then try

Here the username is not "root". It is on our home server. It seems that you have not linked any user with that database.

so username will be: controlpanel username_database username

Hello,

The user "root" is not your user.

What you need to do, is log into cPanel. Scroll down the page to "MySQL Databases" and then once there, you need to click on it and create a user. You need to give it "All privileges" and then you need to assign the user to the database.

It is pretty self explanatory once you're in the "MySQL Databases" section.
