I received an email from myself saying I had signed up to something, and to up subscribe click on the link.

I thought Microsoft would use their own email address.

I recently had an email hack where a bot used my email address to send 700 spam emails, but I changed my password, and this is a different email address.

Should I click on the link and subscribe, or should I alert Microsoft?

I have attached a screen shot of the email.

Yes, alert Microsoft of the issue, and it looks to me as if someone was sending you that e-mail from your account, aka another hack. I suggest changing your password for your e-mail, and make sure any script on your site is secure and up to date. Microsoft will always use their own address for e-mails.

It doesn't matter what OS you are using.
As previous posters said, change all your passwords.
Someone has been hacking into your stuff.
If you are using the windows version of google apps, then yes, notify microsoft asap.
Microsoft has always been full of loopholes to me...

You better look trought the Email Header then you have the senders IP adress too

Oh yeah, I forgot PHP could do that with mail.
Maybe people haven't been hacking after all but just trying to trick you...

Does the fact that the return path is admin@papermail.ru.ru mean anything to you?

I've had quite a lot of spam accounts signing up to my forum using @papermail.ru.ru addresses.

There is always the possibly of when visiting a website, of getting a keylogger. Yes, indeed change your password, but virus scan and adware scan FIRST. I suggest using AVG for virus, and Ad-aware SE PROFESSIONAL for adware.

They probably created their own little website to spam people.
It is very clever yet very annoying.
Just mark it all as spam and virus scan your computer with a trusted virus scanner.
It might be because you installed a program with a virus that does something with your cookies.

OK, now I've got another two from different email addresses.

Both from same country I think:

@suenaga.m.is.nagoya-u.ac.jp
@bewegungsart-koeln.de

German?

Both the emails are the same, and they both have the same spelling mistake.

Shall I email them to tell them that they're being hacked into?

I know I'm a bit late but I'd just like to clarify that. These emails are called scam and they don't mean someone hacked into your PC. People often get these emails - they have a link there (like Click Here!), then you have to enter your details, then you get a '404 Error' and your details were sent to the specific 'vendor' of the email ;)

As for safety & security, Adaware is no longer recommended. It has fairly low detection rates and its memory consumption has gotten too high. Products such as MalwareBytes Anti Malware and Avira Anti Vir Free Edition are the 'top of the line'. You can also get AVG Free that includes AVG AntiSpyware - 30 day trial. They are all good solutions, but it's important to remember that they will not be able to detect all - if not most - infections.

There are specialized boards online for the removal of such infections. I, for one, was trained in one of them, and now opening a new forum dealing with this.
