To change your index, you can either edit or remove the file index.html, that is located in your public_html folder.
Step by Step:
1. Login to your cPanel
2. Find the 'File Manager'
3. On the small box that pops up, click 'Home Directory' then 'Go'.
4. Once it has loaded click on the small '+' in the left hand column, then find the folder called 'public_html' and click on it.
5. This is where your website should go. If you have some files ready to upload them you can do it here. Else you should edit the file called 'index.html'
