Interesting choice of Wordpress theme with great use of transparency.

I recommend making the Email and RSS icon in the sidebar smaller and combining into one line or try to create 2 icons for them to go with Twitter and Facebook thats floating around on the side.

That is a very good looking site you have there. I agree that the icons on the right could do with being scaled down a little. Also, the glowing text in your logo doesn't quite fit in with crisp edges of the rest of the site.
Other than that it is looking great.

The load time is acceptable IMHO. To improve the load time you would likely have to start making changes which would reduce the quality and attractiveness of your site.
