Ecuador and Brasil are passing the equator... I only don't know which of both is the obvious one you referred to

On which part of America (North, Middle, South) would a ship end that is starts in the harbour of Porto directing exactly West, and goes straight ahead all the time (so no sea current, wind, or stirring wheel changes its direction it continues straith ahead).

If you mean Porto Spain, then the ship would hit somewhere around NJ here in the US which I guess would qualify as Middle.
