I was going to buy a 360 but everyone I know who has one has had to deal with the RLOD at least once. PS3 was way to expensive but its gone down a good bit, however theirs still not enough titles :(

out now:

Heavenly Sword
Ratchet and Clank
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
Assassin's Creed (cross console)
Virtua Fighter 4
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
TimeShift (cross console)

all of which are great games. Uncharted has better graphics than anything for any console out there right now.

out soon:
Haze (ps3 only, if executed well it should be far better than Halo 3)

out sometime:
MGS4
GT5
FFXIII
FF vs. XIII
Afrika

and theres another really cool rpg from square-enix thats being made too. i'm sure i'm missing plenty but really you have something from every genre and you can always expect EA sports to make some fun games.

as far as 360's failing, the first issue my friends all had was the disc tray not coming out or only coming 2 cm out. you have to really mess with it to get discs in and out. as far as the deaths and failures, even the Target display ones have undergone it, even the new one they just put out at Target, it can't even load the demos on it...I was mad as hell lol

One, this is spam.

Two, that is Stereotypical.

Three, Give a damn reason to that.

.... If you wanna flame, this isn't the place to do so.
I wouldn't say it is. It's a line from Futurama, of course, with "bodies" instead of "consoles."

But consoles become literally useless when support is dropped 3-5 years into it's lifetime. That's why I play with a PC.

PS3's estimated span is 8-10 years

8-10 years my ass. Maybe as a blu-ray player, but not as a game console.

Parts don't last 10 years unless they're really built well. Not to rip on Sony, but I don't recall the PS2's being built well, so I don't have much faith for the ps3.

Edit: Sorry for being blunt, but at least everyone knows where I stand on that particular line. Who said 8-10 years anyways? The same execs that told us rumble was last generation?

Same thing as my PS2. I'm 6'2 and it dropped out of the backpack(zipper broke) and I thought for sure it broke. It still works years later and my xbox didn't last me 8 months (and microsoft wouldn't fix or replace it).

Haze being better than Halo 3? Good luck with that one!

Yeah I would say about half of my friends' 360s have red-ringed. After sending it in they've been working fine; minor inconvenience if you ask me!

Dude, H3 isn't all that good.. Many FPS's out there are much better. To tell you the truth, Halo 2 is MUCH better compared to H3.
Also so is Bioshock =D..

Haze is gonna kick ALL of FPS's asses =D

Yeah, I loved Halo 2 and the first. I was so sad when my xbox died.

I'm not a big fan of the Halo series (mostly because they're not innovative), but I would say the first is by far the best of the trilogy. More balanced, a better learning curve, a PC version that doesn't suck ass, mods, and AN ONLINE VERSION YOU DON'T HAVE TO FREAKING PAY FOR!
