Thanks, things are working again!
Yes, it is to monitor energy and resource (water, gas) usage- I suppose a script running vs an HTTP get from an appliance could be up for debate. I send this same datastream to a number of other free services, some who have been archiving the data for years now.. but they are not your service, and I don't want to run afoul!
I'm currently helping with testing / tweaking this code before general release, and yes, data consolidation is high on my list for a number of reasons.. performance being a big one. It only stores my own usage. I'll be archiving data and moving it to another system for review every 6-12 months. So I would expect to see DB usage go up to 3-4GB @ the end of a full year, until data aging & consolidation gets added in, or we reduce sampling rates.
The end goal for this is to run this package on low power computers and / or free web-hosts, to allow people to monitor and reduce their energy and resource usage. I truly appreciate that you run this service for free, I'm fine getting capped at whatever makes sense for you.
Thanks again!
