how do i add a style

well i have gotten my phpbb forum on ,am trying to change the style of it i have downloaded the style i want,but how do i get to add it so my forum acp can see it?

Support for the scripts you install on your account would be done through the script vendors homepage.

I am however a user of phpbb myself, so I can give a few pointers.

1. Make sure the style is actually compatible with the version of phpbb you have installed
2. Make sure the style is uploaded correctly, ie: phpbbROOT/styles/stylename (make sure there's no double folders like /styles/stylename/stylename, which is not unheard of when you use the server to unzip the style).
3. If both are correct, you should be able to see the style under the customise tab in the ACP. If you are sure both above is correct and still don't see it, you would need to seek support where you got the style.

thanks anna it worked the style i was trying to use wasnt compatible. i would like to add my own logo and bkground image how do i do that ? all this is new to me.

As mentioned, we do not actually provide support for third party scripts (that does include scripts provided as one click installs), as we can not know all details of all scripts.

I don't know what style you are currently using, or anything regarding your install of phpbb so I can not actually tell you where you would need to edit in order to change what you want.

Please seek support at phpbb's support site, or at the site you got the current style if you didn't get it from the phpbb homepage, as they would definitely be best able to help point you in the right direction.
