I've been studying web development and creating content externally. x10's ability to upload these files individually without having to go through a site creation module is what met my needs. The question:

How do I create a second site?

I created site blah.pcriot.com for my first project. I wanted to create blah2.pcriot.com or even blah2.whatever.com for a second site, but can't seem to do so.

I've spent over 2 hours trying new things & looking for an answer to this question. I didn't want to post this question to a forum, but that seems to be my only support option. That brought more than a few new questions.

Feedback: While creating a forum account, I wasn't offered the option to customize at all and had no idea what the defaults were (the only important one being the abilty to turn off spam). So now: I have a username that just bothers me and I have no idea how to change it, I've seen a number of posts that don't highlight your service (you seem to have more than a few disgruntled customers), I've wasted tons of time on this issue with no resolution in sight. I saw mention of FAQ's somewhere, but getting to them should have been much easier (and, as I recall, my question wasn't listed, even though I'm certain this is probably somewhat common). Despite having above average technical skills, the UI wasn't designed to address my issue or even lead me to a decent resource (unless this is it).

That's enough time spent on this issue; I'd like a single point of contact, but I can spend less time finding another free hosting site. And if said site is easier to use, there's really no point in hosting here, is there?

Have you tried forwarding the domain to like index2.html or tried http://yoursite.com/2nd site?
Check your MySQL databases to find out where your main site is stored http://yoursite.com or http:/yoursite.com/folder
Install another database/forum to a different location like: http://yoursite.com/site2 and have web-forwarding to that folder or index.php or index2.php

Also try adding another user under MySQL databases or in the cpanel area I believe you can change the main user name or make a new one and remove the old.. you may have to edit your admin.php file if you change database user names.

Understand?

What you want to do to achieve the scenario you described above is create an addon domain for your second site (you could technically also do it by adding a subdomain of your current one though the address would then be secondsite.firstsite.pcriot.com), if I recall right you should be able to do so using a subdomain from the domains we offer freely (pcriot.com for instance as you use now), optionally look for providers of a free subdomain (dot.tk is commonly used).

Once you added the domain as an addon domain you just put the files that relate to that domain in the folder attached with it, cPanels default setting for that is using the domain name as folder name.
