how long does it take for disk space to refresh

I attempted to upload an 984MB iso file back in December, it failed due to disk space allowance. However it still says I have used all my 1GB disk space even tho I have deleted the file over a month ago.

I deleted the file over a month ago. If I download my entire public_html folder it only has a value under 5MB. but in cPanel it still says I am using nearly my 1GB. I just want to free up as much space as possible, and use as little as possible. Is this file part still lingering around somewhere?

Looking into this. Looks like your file might've got owned by something else because of the quota.

By the way, don't upload isos... that's considered file hosting.
