Hi,

My account was at limit so emails were not being delivered. I have now celared down the disk space - how long until emails get delivered again?

Thanks
Amanda

e-mails dont take much space unless you included documents,
or images and video's, so just clearing a few basic e-mails wont effect
much on the disc size.

to effectively lower the size you'd have to focus more on archived
or unused files that may have been saved.

another solution would be to ask Admins for an increase in disc space.

It was definitely emails that were using the space. I cleared 500mb worth of space down. However, we're still not able to receive or send emails.

more information might help to get an answer.

whats your server ? (mines x15)
Do you use x10's webmail or something else to get e-mail usually ?
Have you tried using your webmail option ?
Do you get any errors related to pop or smtp ?

I use thunderbird for my email client (works good for me)
my website is like http: //www .user.x10 .bz
so i use mail. user.x10. bz with pop 995 and smtp 465 in my
thunderbird settings. thats just an example of how i set mine.
(i used spaces to post the links so mind the spaces)

Maybe @Anna or @garrettroyce
could help you more when they check the forums out.

Once you go under the disk quota, the server would be accepting emails again (emails rejected when it was full would be permanently lost unless the sender does attempt to deliver them again).

Have you tried sending yourself an email from a third party to see if it a) lands in your inbox or b) returns an error (delivery failure message) at your third party email provider and isn't delivered. If b) what does the error message say?

@Anna - yes I have tried sending from a third party email address and the emails are not received, no bounceback, no error or anything. It has now been about 36 hours since I reduced the disk usage to below limit.

Not really an issue now as we moved email away, only hosting remains. Thanks.
