So, now that I've played around with the free hosting, I suddenly have another idea for a website. Not a sub-domain or another parked name, but something that requires a new site.

Does X10 care if I just sign up again for a new website? Or is having more than one site forbidden? Should I use a second email address to sign up or does X10 prefer that I keep everything under one email?

You can use the add-on domain feature, where the root of the website can be contained within a folder within your current hosting account.

For example, http://markspace.com/index.php could be your /public_html/index.php file, while http://markspaceblog.com/index.php could point straight to /public_html/blog/index.php without any subdomains or extensions added to the main domain.

You may not have more than one account, but you may have multiple sites on one account, as long as it fits the File Size of the package you are using.

I actually remember Christopher saying somewhere on the forums that having multiple accounts per person is permitted right now. But either way, I sort of discouarge doing so because it increases server load and doesn't take advantage of the many features x10Hosting's cPanel comes with.

http://x10hosting.com/tos.php

x10Hosting reserves the right to refuse service and/or access to its servers to anyone. Each individual is allowed ONE account only. x10Hosting does not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers.

i'm going to lean toward the tos and not some comment that an admin might of said it somewhere.

Add-on domains are definitely the way to go. I've got two currently here. To avoid confusion I'd suggest that your main space not be a domain. For instance, davearonson.x10hosting.com *redirects to* (as opposed to *is*) davearonson.com, currently hosted elsewhere (and formerly hosted here as an add-on), but davearonson.net and dare2xl.com are add-on domains here at x10.
