Hello,
I cannot edit my main .htaccess file. Yesterday I added a parked domain and I need to edit it to enable some features. Today I'm having many suspensions by high CPU usage. I'm trying to enable Total Cache, a plugin for Wordpress that create several pages to speedup the site and also to reduce the server usage. I hope it's not causing you several troubles. It's using many resources only now, when I'm setting it up. After it starts working, I'll not use CPU ;).

Thank you,
Alberto

Yes you can. Tell File Manager in cPanel, or FTP, to display hidden files.

cache related plugins are known to cause high resource usage due to the amount of resources they use when content is added to the cache.

I do not have server access from where I am right now though, so can't check what's going on with your .htaccess file.

Sorry but, no, I can't. I know it's a hidden file, I can see it, but I can't edit it. I have tried with Cpanel, with Legacy file manager, with file manager, and with two FTP managers (Filezilla and FireFTP), and all of them give me the same error: Permission denied :( I also have tried to change the permissions from 644 to 777 or to any other combination and also have the same error (Permission denied).

I think I know what the problem is, when your account was suspended the owner for the .htaccess file was forced to root, when an unsuspension was requested that should have re-set the ownership of the .htaccess file. Looks like that part failed.

I'm gonna escalate this to a ticket so a staff member with access can sort it for you.
