HTTP 503
Backend fetch failed

all I get is this message whenever I go to the site and I've pretty much deleted everything and started from scratch and also submitted some tickets that were never seen or checked so I figured I would post here. not sure if its something I need to fix or if its something in the backend

Can you please try changing your PHP version from DirectAdmin? It seems like the PHP version was having an issue on another user's thread, if I remember correctly.

There was an issue with DNS pointing to the wrong IP (likely the old Illuminated server), I have corrected this and your site appears to be working now.

I am having the same '503 Service Unavailable - try later' error and, after reading the posts, reverted the PHP version to 5.6.
the website is now reporting 'Request Timeout when I try to access the 'index.php' file.
Is there anything else I should be checking with PHP?
using an old 'index.html' file works - but I need PHP.
In the error log, I see 'abort request... code 4'. Does that have any relevance?
Thank in anticipation for your help.

to all the people posting
I have same problem
on this thread, you need to start a new post with your own issue.
see the post support guidelines.

staff does not always reply to posts that have already been answered.
which is why it is best to create your own post and wait for a reply.

remember the forums are based on members helping other members.
and staff does not always answer old posts or ones already answered.
