Hey, I'm sort of new with x10hosting and I'm planning on installing a mybb based forums to my site, I've tried doing it by 'adding a website' that kept ending with errors. Now I'm attempting to upload the files via filezilla but I cannot connect. If someone can help me out thar'd be great. if you need any information just ask me.

Hi ta0x10ho,

What issue are you having exactly when you connect? :)

You can connect to FTP by using your main .x10host.com domain as your host, port 21, and your cPanel credentials as the username/password. ;) http://x10hosting.com/wiki/FTP

Thank you,

if you use Filezilla - you must disable the option for multiple connections otherwise x10hosting's firewall may block you

In FileZilla at [ Edit ] (top of screen) --> Settings --> Transfers --> Concurent transfers - set all three to "1"
###

CAUTION: Your IP can be blocked by x10hosting's firewall - for too many "Failed" FTP logins in a short period

The FTP details you need for FileZilla (or other FTP client):
click on icon at top lefthand side of screen (Open the Site Manager)
click on [ New Site ] - enter a name for your site

Host: (your account's primary (main) domain) or (your server's IP) - Port: 21

Protocl: FTP - File Transfer Protocol

Encryption: Use plain FTP

Logon Type: Normal

User: (your cPanel user name)

Password: (your cPanel password)

click on [ Connect ]

Uhm I actually figured out what I did wrong myself although i appreaciate the quick and detailed response :D. I didn't have any 'ftp users' after doing that and using the infromation given from there it was easy as 1 2 3.

Thank you for everyone who replied, sorry for the bother :D.
