Any news? cPanel is still not available, it seems. Do we have to do something in order to activate the new one?

Your account is moved over to the new server (and on the same server as my test account actually), logging into directadmin works fine for my account and as of the last hour I can also login through the sso page properly. When I tested earlier I had to correct the address as there was a minor mistake in the one linked with the "cPanel" button on the sso page.

What address were you using when you encountered that connection error?

I sign in from
https://x10hosting.com/sso/main
There is a "welcome back" message and an "Open cPanel" button (blue).
I click on the (blue) button and I am redirected to
https://xo6.x10hosting.com:2222/CMD_LOGIN
where an error (in italian, I translate) says that xo6.x10hosting.com took too long time to answer.
That's all.
Thank You
Your account is not yet transfered, when it is you will likely see a different server number (I'm now on x11 instead of xo7 for instance), the portnumber (2222) used in that redirect is that of the new directadmin panel so would not work for accounts not transfered.
I have seen reports of users not being able to sign in to cPanel due to licensing issues so might not have worked even if it was pointing to the correct port (cPanel uses port 2083)

MY PROBLEMS ARE:
1. PRESTASHOP SITE 1.7.4 BEFORE PERFECTLY WORKING NOW DOES NOT WORK (http://presta174.x10host.com/prestashop1740/) img2
2. ERROR IN FTP FILES TRANSFER (553 Can't open that file: Disk quota exceeded. IMPORTANT: the disk quota is not really exhausted img1). this blocks me and prevents me from solving the problem caused by migration.

Update: (solved) the "ps it solution" technicians helped me solve. if you need you can contact them here https://www.psitsolution.com/support-form/e

Guess mine hasn’t been migrated yet on server xo2. They got it going to port 2222 but nothing responds on that port. DNS resolution still shows I’m on xo2

I receive this error when trying to upload:
"Unable to connect. Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at xo5.x10hosting.com:2222."
Can an experienced person provide a step-by-step instructions on what to do to switch over the new system for us less advanced users?
Yes, I read the 12/13 memo about the switch, but the promised update by the end of that week is still missing.

As another poster said, it looks like xo2 and xo5 are not done currently. You would be moved to a whole new server. The best you can do is to keep paying attention and logging in through SSO until it is fully done. Or perform trace routes to your site until it appears that the IP has changed.

fproyect, I feel for you. I was once a college student and I agree this is terrible timing for you. My hopes are that it will be up tomorrow. While most users can wait, this could be a real cause for distress during finals week. Which I assume this is, right now! (This is when my finals week was when I was in college.)

What I would suggest is talk to your professor, explain the situation, and ask if you can get an Incomplete. I don't know about your school, but mine would allow something like 2 months to turn in final work to correct an Incomplete. I once showed up at the wrong time to take an exam and got an Incomplete. There were two dates for the exam (we could choose one) and I came at the right time for the first date, but on the second date (which unfortunately, the time for the first option was later than the time for the second). I let my professor know after sitting there for half an hour wondering where everyone was. He was going overseas and had to catch a flight, so I had to make up the exam after winter break. It should be OK.

Best of luck to you! Here's hoping you can access your DB tomorrow.

Hi, sussana4:

As the problem remains, I've installed a Wamp server in my computer and I'm testing the whole project there. In the video presentation I will use it, so finally always there is a workaround :)

Anyway, thanks for your kind words ;);)

If account access is on hold why have got these from x10Hosting?

Account Inactivity Warning
We are sending you this email to remind you to visit the x10Hosting Account Portal.
Visiting the Account Portal once per month is a requirement to keep your hosting account active.
All that we require is that you access the portal while authenticated.
The portal may be accessed here: https://x10hosting.com/portal/
We offer account upgrades that remove the portal inactivity requirement for just over a penny per day. More information here: https://x10hosting.com/portal/?upgrade
Sincerely,
x10Hosting

Furthermore I have been accessing my site via an FTP program!

Now that the C Panel radio button is working again, when I login this way I don't *see* my FTP uploads/updates that I'm sending (and seeing on FTP). Answer that one!

The emails may go out, but accounts will not be suspended.

FTP has never been counting towards keeping the account active, ONLY logins through our mainsite do: https://x10hosting.com/sso/login

What host do you have in the ftp client? You are now on a different server, with a different hostname (and IP), so if you did use the server hostname you would need to update that to reflect the new server (the old remains online until we know everything works properly).

FTP Host: xo6.x10hosting.com currently

I've just checked the browser interface and it's now saying FTP Host: x15.x10hosting.com

Should I change my FTP client to reflect this?

Yes, otherwise you'll be uploading to the old server.
